Consideration of design inspired by Mehendi.
メヘンディをイメージしたデザインの考察
インドやアフリカ・中東などで伝統文化のヘナタトゥー（メヘンディ）をコンセプトに
今回はモチーフの意味的なものは考えず雰囲気とバランスを考えながらデザインを作成。
対象はZippo（ジッポー）の純正とも言えるスタンダードなシルバーメッキ、
彫って判った事で、中身が真鍮なので墨入れもせず彫りっぱなし（バリ取りのみ）でフィニッシュ、
メッキの膜が非常に硬く、刃の角度が甘いと滑る為、思いのほか面倒でした。

Based on the concept of traditional henna tattoos (mehendi) in India, Africa, the Middle East, etc.
This time, I created the design while considering the atmosphere and balance without thinking about the meaning of the motif.
The target is standard silver plating that can be said to be genuine Zippo,
After carving it, I realized that the inside is brass, so I left the carving without inking (only deburring) and finished it.
The plating film is very hard, and if the angle of the blade is sweet, it will slip, so it was unexpectedly troublesome.
Engrave at once, remove burrs, and polish to complete.
一気に彫ってバリ取り、磨いて完成
光を当てると角度によって真鍮が光り輝くのでとても綺麗です、
今回はあまり刃を鏡面にしなかったので次回は90度くらいの刃を鏡面にしてやれば
もっと美しく仕上がるかと思いました、今回はとりあえず実験的な作品ということで。

I didn't make the blade mirror-finished this time, so next time I'll make the blade about 90 degrees mirror-finished.
