Start with drafts and line engraving.
まずは下書きとすじ彫りから
上記の下書きは反転していますが、非対称のデザインの場合はバランスを見るために
何度か反転して線を入れていきます。
今回は唐草を大まかにデザインした後にオールドイングリッシュでハーレーダビッドソンの文字を入れて、
唐草と馴染ませるようにアレンジを加えました。
すじ彫りを浅めに入れた後、平刃で唐草と文字以外を段落とししていきます。
すじ彫りの後にグラインダーでサークル状に削ってもそれなりには見えるのですが、
段を落としたほうがメリハリが出て綺麗に見えるので全体を2回段落とし（1回で約0.5mmほど）を行い、
約1mmほど落とします。
このダービーカバーでも2回段落としを行うだけで6-8時間くらいかかるのでかなり地味で辛い作業になります。
このカバーに関しては段落としの後にグラインダーでサークル模様を入れ、再度すじ彫りを行っています、
サークルを際まで入れると若干すじが汚くなるので再度すじ彫りを入れて綺麗に整えます。

I added an arrangement to blend in with the arabesque.
After adding shallow lines, use a flat blade to cut off the arabesque and other characters.
Even if you use a grinder to cut the circles after carving the line engraving, you can still see them, but if you remove the steps, the sharpness will come out.
To make it look beautiful, cut the whole piece twice (about 0.5 mm each time) and drop about 1 mm.
Even with this derby cover, it takes about 6-8 hours just to do two paragraphs, so it's a pretty plain and painful job.
For this cover, I added a circle pattern with a grinder after the paragraph, and then carved the lines again.
If you insert the circle all the way to the edge, the line engraving will get a little dirty, so add the line engraving again to make them clean.
Finishing with hairline and leaf this time.
今回はヘアラインとリーフで仕上げ
少し昔の作品なのでいきなり完成画像になってしまいましたが、ヘアラインとリーフで仕上げ（途中）です、
この後に細かい傷を出来るだけ消して、再度仕上げを行いました。
光の当たり方で豊かな表情が出ますので個人的にはポリッシュやメッキより好みです、
今回は割と古めなダイナでしたので丁度良い感じで収まりました。

This time it was a relatively old Dyna, so it fit just right.
メッキをかけたらこんな感じになりました、写真がうまく取れなかったのですが
ライティングされるととっても綺麗です、メッキ処理により若干ディテールが甘くなりますが
荒が目立たなくなるとも言えますので一長一短ですね。。。
